Latino Vote 2012 campaign is an effort to register and mobilize Latinos and young voters in the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties to vote in our Presidential Elections next November 6, 2012. Only 3 of 10 eligible Latino citizens  get out to vote. Half of Latino citizens of voting age are not registered to vote.

Latino Voter Registration Project is a voter registration and education project. Its mission is to advance the political participation of the Inland Valley Latinos.

Mi Familia Vota is a national, non-profit organization working to increase civic engagement in Latino, immigrant and allied communities.

7th Annual Latino Network Leadership Institute
June 21, 22 and 23 at Centro de Ninos

The objective of the Latino Network Leadership Institute (LNLI) is to provide an opportunity for young high school seniors and first/second year college students to learn from local community leaders about their educational and vocational experiences to help them successfully navigate through the many experiences they will encounter in their development as future leaders. This is accomplished in a series of workshops that provide quality training and mentoring. Topics covered in the leadership institute may include: *Resolving interpersonal and intergroup conflict *Leadership principles * Social networking *Civic engagement *Issues facing youth today * Arts & culture *Career exploration *Community legacies *Planning for future among other topics.

Application deadline: June 15, 2012. Applications should be submitted hard copy to Latino Network, c/o Leadership Institute, P.O. Box 20615, Riverside, CA 92516, via fax to Centro de Ninos, attention Leadership Institute (951) 683-6557 or via e-mail to arturoa@charter.net

The Leadership Institute Screening committee will review all applications and make final selections. Applicants must submit applications to Latino Network, Leadership Screening Committee, with all of the required information completed.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must be a high school senior, or enrolled as a first/second year college student
-Must be a resident of Western Riverside County
-Must be willing to participate in a three day leadership conference ¡V June 21, 22 and 23
-Must be willing to perform follow-up activities related to training

Mr. Haveman will provide an alternative perspective on costs versus benefits of the Logistics Industry
